Educate, Lead, and Serve

The American College of Toxicology is a professional organization of about 1000 toxicologists who work in industry, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, government regulatory agencies, or as consultants. ACT provides a forum for the collegial exchange of information. ACT holds their Annual Meeting every November. Other educational opportunities include courses and webinars held throughout the year and around the globe. The latest scientific information of interest is published in the ACT journal, the International Journal of Toxicology.

  • Signature Webinar Series

    ACT Signature Webinar series provides accessible education to members of the toxicology community worldwide. The Signature Webinars are held on a quarterly basis and are free to both ACT members and nonmembers for live and on-demand viewing.

    These educational webinars cover current topics in toxicology and are presented by experts in the field, with backgrounds in government, industry, or academia. Each Signature Webinar is approximately 90 minutes, which includes a 30-minute questions and answers session with the speaker(s) following the presentation.

    After each live event, a recording of the presentation is placed in the ACT Signature Webinar Archives.

  • The Official Journal of ACT

    International Journal of Toxicology (IJT) publishes peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary articles and incisive reviews on contemporary issues in toxicology, as well as safety assessment, novel approaches to toxicological testing, mechanisms of toxicity, biomarkers, and risk assessment. IJT serves as a forum for articles that promote basic toxicology research or facilitate and improve toxicology practice. The journal offers six annual issues, with three supplemental issues each year devoted to contributions from the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel. The official journal of the American College of Toxicology, IJT serves academic, industry, and regulatory toxicologists, as well as toxicology consultants.
