TAMLYN® is celebrating over 50 years of excellence in the building supply industry! In May 1971 RonTamlyn, Sr. and his wife Jean borrowed $800 and began the company in a small shack in the back yard of their modest home in Bellaire, Texas. Ron Tamlyn, Sr. was the company’s president from 1971 until his son, Tom Tamlyn, took the reigns as president in 1990. TAMLYN has become a multi-million dollar, international business with a full product line to match. In 2017, Tom Tamlyn became CEO and Miguel Gonzales was promoted to president.
TAMLYN manufactures Xtreme Trim® for fiber cement and XtremeInterior® for drywall and panel applications. These extensive lines of extruded aluminum trim are typically used by architects to add clean details to a project’s interior and exterior. For exteriors, especially for multifamily residential projects such as large apartment buildings or condominiums, and can help provide aesthetic variety for exterior panels, facades, and rainscreens. Roofing products and structural metal products ensure stronger homes and buildings that will hold together under high wind and seismic forces. We manufacture joist and truss hangers, brick ties, hurricane clips, straps, and holdowns, as well as special and custom welded hangers.
