Our legacy began in 1923 in Pajaro Valley, nestled between Santa Cruz and Monterey California. The Sambrailo family began building apple crates and evolved with the industry through row crop boxes, berry baskets, and floral boxes. As the berry industry boomed we introduced the first clamshell in 1987 and began building a portfolio of clamshell plastic packaging.
After decades of our industry relying on this structure we knew our next chapter needed to focus on a sustainable alternative to plastics. In 2017 we introduced ReadyCycle®, a paperboard design that has no wax, no labels, and no plastic components. It is truly 100% recyclable and home compostable, fully customizable and printable 360 degrees to share your story and why you chose to pack sustainably.
With our century anniversary near (98 years young!), we are looking forward to our future in growing partnerships with our customers as their trusted packaging resource manager. We are expanding our packaging services throughout product categories and continuing our leadership as pioneers of innovative packaging solutions.
