LOOP Mission
LOOP Mission is a circular economy project that reduces food waste by repurposing the outcasts of the food industry. In a nutshell, we rescue fruits and vegetables that have been rejected for aesthetic reasons or because they don't have enough ripening time to survive the cycle of distribution. We transform this produce into our delicious cold pressed juices and smoothies! We continue to close the loop on even our own waste by using our residual pulp to make vegan dog treats and pizza crusts.
LOOP has evolved to be much more than just a juice company, we are recognized as leaders in food waste reduction, and with that recognition we've grown our portfolio to include soaps made from rejected cooking oil, beer made with day old bread and even Gin from the off-cuts of the potato chip industry. We now have 33 unique SKUs within our growing portfolio, all made with rescued food items.
We are proud to say that to-date we've collectively had the following environmental impact;
- 4,996 Tons of rescued produce
- 4,033 Tons of green house gas emissions avoided from being released into the atmosphere
- 389,271,240 Litres of water saved
- 1,375,913 slices of bread rescued
