Our stock plain or custom-printed Genesis-HDR2 produce packaging aligns with the CGF Golden Design Rules for Plastic Packaging and is Pre-approved by How2Recycle for Store Drop-Off and Optimal Recyclability. Our factory was the first to develop a High Clarity HDPE film substrate suitable for produce packaging. Our Genesis-HDR2 packaging is mono-material and, therefore, completely recyclable. HDPE #2 plastic, as defined by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), is a sustainable plastic, “plastics used in products that provide societal benefits while enhancing human and environmental health and safety across the entire product life cycle” (OECD, 2018a). HDPE is a very versatile material that is used in many different industries. Thus, a massive recycled resin market is created and is profitable for recyclers. HDPE continues to provide net benefits at the end of the product’s life cycle and can be recycled a minimum of 10 times. It is used in various industrial products such as automotive parts, deck boards, water pipes, and furniture because they utilize a large percentage of recycled HDPE material. This causes the product life-cycle of an HDPE product to create a circular economy that provides societal benefits through being easily recycled by most recyclers in the world. It enhances human and environmental health by keeping useful reusable plastics out of landfills and into everyday products that increase our quality of life.
