For more than 100 years, CPMA has served as the national voice of Canada’s fresh produce industry, representing every link in the supply chain—from growers and shippers to retailers, foodservice operators, and consumers. Its diverse membership includes growers, packers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and foodservice companies, all working together to advance the fresh produce sector in Canada.

CPMA works closely with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on behalf of the fresh produce industry to support the development and implementation of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR). These regulations establish a consistent food safety framework across all food commodities, helping to strengthen consumer confidence and maintain the integrity of Canada’s food supply.

  • Are you an emerging leader in the fresh produce industry? The Passion for Produce (PFP) Program offers a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow alongside mentors and peers at the CPMA's Annual Convention and Trade Show.

CPMA is bringing the global and Canadian produce sectors together to tackle one of the industry’s biggest sustainability challenges: how sustainability is measured, verified, and reported.

  • (Jul 10, 2026)

Each year, CPMA collaborates with the CPMA Government Issues Management (CGIM) Committee to identify the key policy priorities that will guide the association’s advocacy and government relations efforts. These priorities are developed in consultation with industry partners whenever possible and serve as the foundation for CPMA’s engagement with government and stakeholders throughout the year.
