Conemaugh's Emergency Medicine Residency is a three-year ACGME initial accredited program. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center and the Emergency Department is the primary receiving facility for Johnstown and the surrounding counties. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Emergency Department treats over 70,000 patients per year, including 2,800 pediatric visits, and has a 25% admission rate, making it comparable to major urban center programs. The program is designed to prepare graduates for the American Board of Emergency certification. The curriculum provides residents with the knowledge and skills to rapidly evaluate and treat patients of all levels of acuity. Johnstown is located in west central Pennsylvania, less than 90 minutes from Pittsburgh and just three hours from Washington, DC.  Our unique community combines natural beauty of the Laurel Highlands with an abundance of affordable housing and recreation that invigorates your senses.
