Thank you for your interest in our Residency Program!

Our program really believes that we learn best by “doing,” which means seeing patients in the Emergency Department. The diversity of patients and pathologies that we see at both our county hospital (Metro) and quaternary referral care center (Cleveland Clinic) means that there will be very few patients, pathologies, and procedures that we haven’t encountered at the end of our three years.

With all that being said, let’s be honest: the best part of our residency is the residents. We are a tight knit group that loves to be together. We enjoy going to work not only because we have the coolest job on the planet, but because we get to see our friends when we arrive at the hospital. We spend time together outside the hospital too. Want to catch a Tribe game together or grab dinner at one of Cleveland’s awesome restaurants? Done. Want to enjoy a run in the Metro Parks with a friend? Sure thing. Want to grab a beer and talk through a tough case? No problem. We look out for each other and always know that there are at least 40 other people who will always have our backs.
