Kinetic River designs and builds custom flow cytometers for unique applications. Founded in 2010 and located in Silicon Valley, California, Kinetic River is the go-to for user needs not met by one-size-fits-all analyzers. We offer:
- The Potomac, our signature modular flow cytometer. It's a completely customizable analyzer: For example, we can integrate ANY laser you want (even 266 nm, pulsed, or supercontinuum), and the fluidics can be tailored to produce very slow flow for extended interrogation (e.g., 200 µs). The National Cancer Institute recently purchased a 2-laser, 7-detector version for use with external laser beams.
- The Danube, the only fluorescence lifetime flow cytometer on the market capable of resolving multiexponential decays. It has sub-nanosecond resolution and it can used for measuring cell metabolic states (redox ratio of NADH and FAD), the cellular microenvironment (Ca2+, Cl, O2, pH), FRET assays, nanoparticle uptake, and more.
- The Arno, a compensation-free flow cytometer designed to eliminate headaches due to spectral spillover. We are currently developing a 14-parameter version (12 colors, FSC, SSC) using only 2 lasers.
