WCO and IAPB are excited to meet new and existing members!

The World Council of Optometry (WCO) is an international organisation dedicated to the enhancement and development of eye and vision care worldwide, via advocacy, education and policy development. The 95 organisation members represent over 200,000 optometrists in  45 countries.

With the support of our members, WCO continues to:

  • advance optometric education and legislation around the globe
  • provide resources in areas where optometry is developing
  • assist countries regarding regulatory and scope of practice issues
  • maintain positive relationships with global health care organizations and our six world regions

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is an international alliance of member organisations working together for a world where everyone has universal access to eye care.  

We provide:

  • Expert advocacy: Raising the profile of eye care so it receives the attention and resources needed with decision makers.
  • Authoritative knowledge: Providing sources for key eye health data and news.

A trusted network: Connecting members to have greater impact at a regional and country level.
