Since 1988 Michael has worked at Europa-Park. He has held various roles in the company with increasing responsibilities as head of public relations, then director of operations, then supporting the Mack Family as representative of the board and is today General Manager of Rulantica the new water adventure resort of Europa-Park. Michael had been on the European advisory board of IAAPA and was head of the government relations subcommittee.
He is vice-chairman of the German Themepark-Association VDFU and vice-chairman of the supervisory board of the Black Forest Tourism Council.
As a well-known industry and tourism expert, he has been working on the Rulantica project through all phases since 1996. From the first research, to master planning, the permit process, public hearings, to construction, to starting up the operation and now as General Manger he constantly worked on making this vision to come to life.
