John Buranoski

John Buranosky has been in Chicago most of his adult life. Before coming to Shedd Aquarium 15 years ago, he worked at the The Peggy Notebeart Nature Museum as an Operations Director overseeing facilities, security and visitor services. At Shedd, John has had a number of different roles through the years. As the Assistant Director of Guest Experience he oversaw the guest facing teams along with, group sales, and customer contacts. John gained event experience overseeing Shedd programs like Jazzin' at the Shedd, Extraordinary Experiences, and Overnights. He moved to Sr. Director of Training and Development nearly 7 years ago. His charge of training and development included diversity, leadership development and staff engagement. He has also been richly involved in many theatrical processes in the Chicagoland area. Through his professional work and theatrical endeavors; John brings a diversity of knowledge and experience to his connections and work.
