As Vice President, John Rouse is responsible for all aspects of ticketing, guest services, retail operations, security, housekeeping, parking, food service, catering, building maintenance and life support. John joined the Aquarium in 1997 and was instrumental in designing the exhibits and crowd control procedures during the Aquarium’s grand opening. Over the years he has become a leader in the energy managment. His team manages all aspect of operations from ticket programming to managing the new expansion 27,000 sq. ft. Pacific Visions that has provided state of the art technology and innovative educational experiences at the Aquarium.
John came to the Aquarium after a three-year turn as the General Manager of Camelot Family Entertainment Centers in Irvine, CA. There, he was responsible for generating a 30% profit margin during the park’s first year of opening as well as designing the ticketing system, marketing programs and more.
Previously, John worked for Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA for 14 years as Admissions and Guest Services Supervisor as well as other positions. At Knott’s Berry Farm, Rouse managed more than 100 employees, developed departmental budgets and maintained an effective cash control of $40 million in ticket revenues.
