Description

The attractions industry thrives on new ideas and fresh approaches. Without innovation, attractions can stagnate, leading to declining audiences. However, not every new idea is worth significant investment. De-risking innovation leverages the experiential and monetary potential while lowering the cost of potential failure. This panel focuses on the value of small, early investments and strategies to qualify, iterate, or discard potential new tactics and programs.  This approach can both help mitigate the risks associated with new ideas and help teams build the case to make change. Attendees will learn how to identify opportunities, test concepts for feasibility, experiment with new technologies, and use a series of small “bets” to build to successful projects. Together these approaches can help minimize risk associated with implementing new processes, technology advances, redesigned environments, and other major initiatives.
