Great multiplatform games and VR experiences for players anywhere they gather
Montreal, Canada (September 16, 2021) – Minority Media Inc., the award-winning game studio established in 2010, today announced they have changed their brand to Meta4 Interactive to align with their evolution and expanded focus.
The new brand is reflective of the growth the studio experienced over the unprecedented past year which fueled expansion. For Meta4 the global pandemic acted as a change accelerant. The company quickly pivoted to remote work and leveraged that to attract exciting global talent. Today the company employs an accomplished team working in Montreal, as well as remotely in France and Ecuador.
Meta4 is a premiere independent studio focused on developing original intellectual property & games for location-based entertainment venues as well as mobile, console, and virtual reality platforms. The company has deepened its skillset in developing virtual reality games based upon international blockbuster entertainment brands such as the Transformers franchise in addition to developing games for the metaverse.
“We have long been an agile, innovative independent game development studio and we look forward to continuing to blaze new paths as Meta4,” said Vander Caballero, CEO of Meta4. “The brand change is all about the evolution of the company to grow our customer base and deliver immersive entertainment everywhere players play.”
Meta4 will focus on three market segments: 1. Location-based Entertainment (LBE), creating the software (platform, games) and hardware for multiplayer VR machines. 2. Games for at-home consumer VR. 3. games and content for the metaverse.
Meta4 continues to expand its footprint in the location-based entertainment (LBE) market with game systems in family entertainment centers and other amusement locations in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. The most recent TRANSFORMERS: VR Battle Arena four-player VR Game System was installed in August in Saudi Arabia.
Later this year Meta4 will launch a Transformers title which will be an entirely new at-home single-player VR experience. It will feature a full campaign and hours of gameplay.
“Meta4 Interactive is built for this moment in time, when millions of consumers are now regularly virtually sharing real-time concert experiences, film premieres and festivals in Fortnite and Roblox. Today users all over the world have begun to gather simultaneously and take part in games, meetings, and collaborations”, noted Michael Zaidan, VP of business development and global sales for Meta4. “We want to blur the lines of immersive entertainment by delivering great games wherever players gather, whether they are at home playing on a console, on their phone on the go, donning a VR headset in their living room, or out in the physical world engaging in a premium immersive attraction at their favorite amusement venues.”
