Rob McMenamin has worked in the leisure, attractions and entertainment industry for over 15 years, at single, multi-site and multi-regional level. Initially in various health club and spa operational roles in the United Kingdom before moving into the entertainment and attractions side of the industry.
Rob joined Majid Al Futtaim, based out of Dubai, UAE, in 2012 as the Operations Manager of iFly Dubai, the groups indoor skydiving attraction. In 2015 he moved over to Majid Al Futtaim’s Magic Planet, Family Entertainment Centers, as Operations Manager for the flagship Mall of the Emirates site before overseeing the UAE FECs as Area Manager. In 2017 Rob switched roles to head up the Commercial & Operations side of Leisure and Entertainment to support both the current business and expansion for Leisure and Entertainment.
Rob, now as Director of Leisure & Entertainment, oversees Majid Al Futtaim’s full Leisure and Entertainment portfolio in the MENA region which includes 30+ Magic Planet Family Entertainment Centers, Bowling Centers, Little Explorers Edutainment venues, iFly Dubai and Dreamscape, the world’s leading VR experience centre in Mall of the Emirates.
Rob and his team are currently formulating Majid Al Futtaim’s exciting new Leisure Strategy to operate the best leisure portfolio in the region and continue to innovate and deliver uniquely compelling experiences, creating great moments tailored to the needs of each of the businesses target segments.
