Vicki Shah PA-C, MMS received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry with minor in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach. After joining neuroscience research at UCLA, she was drawn towards medicine immediately. She graduated from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL with a Masters in Medical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies.
She first started in underserved internal medicine and urgent care in Southern California. She became interested in Gastroenterology after caring for her father with esophageal cancer. After she moved back to Illinois, she practiced in Gastroenterology for 5 years at Carle Hospital with University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. Vicki joined Hepatology at Rush University in 2016 with a strong dedication to providing education as an instructor at the PA program, lecturer for conferences across the US, and APP medical advisory chair for American Liver Foundation. She is also an active member of AASLD holding multiple committee positions in education promotion.
