SESSION DESCRIPTION

Digital technologies have transformed virtually every aspect of clinical trials, from study design and set-up to closeout and database lock. With the advent of virtual and remote clinical trials, adaptive study designs, and eSource technology, traditional clinical trials are quickly giving way to faster and more highly automated processes. At the heart of every clinical trial, however, is the need to advance science while at the same time protecting and assuring patient safety through accurate, reliable, data of unquestioned integrity. In short, to conduct all phases of the study and data acquisition in accord with sound ethical principles. This session will provide a framework for identifying, addressing, and responding to challenges that are sure to arise in clinical trials of the future, using not simply technical but also procedural and ethical input.
