The International Society for the Research and Promotion of Wind Music

The IGEB (Internationale Gesellschaft zur Erforschung und Förderung der Blasmusik) was founded in 1974 at the University for Music and the Performing Arts, in Graz, Austria.

The Society is dedicated to the exploration of all aspects of wind music. It holds biennial conferences, sponsors International Wind Music Research Competitions, and disseminates a number of publications. IGEB currently has 400+ members from 30+ countries.

IGEB's next conference will be held in Bozen (Bolzano), Italy, in July 2024.
