Wingert-Jones and RBC have strong reputations in the American music landscape for producing works in their catalogs that aptly meet the needs of today’s music programs.

    June 2, 2021) – Excelcia Music Publishing releases its second Jazz Ensemble music catalog with new and inspiring tunes from well-known composers as well as talented new voices.  The 2021-22 music embraces the rich tradition of big band music and forges new ground in music for contemporary jazz ensembles.  

    This year, the publisher added a Grade 1 level (Jazz Odyssey), which features music in a variety of styles for beginners.  Also new, a Guitar chord frame chart specific to each piece is included in the more accessible grades in the series (Grades 1 and 1.5), showing both basic and advanced options for the Guitar player.  And as it has done in prior years, the publisher’s release includes live professional recordings of each piece (safely recorded), which can be used as a tool with students in the classroom as well as for remote learning.

    Lakeland, Florida (February 4, 2021)– Sea Shanty Saga, Excelcia Music Publishing’s newest release for instrumental quartets and flexible ensembles, rides the wave of the 2021 viral resurgence on TikTok of the 13th century sea shanty.  Composer Tyler Arcari joined the fun by writing Sea Shanty Saga which includes four varying sea shanties at grade 3 level arranged to be played either as a complete suite or individually, for enjoyment, performance, or adjudication.

    “Known for their catchy melodies and folk-song sensibilities, the sea shanties lend themselves perfectly to the modern classroom for an upbeat, and educationally sound, experience,” explains composer Tyler Arcari.  “Given the year we’ve had, I thought educators and students would love to explore the old shanties.”
