Welcome to the Gator family!

Gator Cases was founded in 2000 by father-daughter team Jerry Freed and Crystal Morris in Tampa, Florida. Initially, they launched with a small offering of molded plastic guitar cases at the Summer NAMM show in Nashville, Tennessee. From there, they expanded the product line to include case and bag solutions for pro audio, IT, audio visual, general utility, band instrument, and percussion. The line now consists of over 1000 different solutions that are made from vacuum-formed plastics, rotational-molded plastics, wood, sewn, and EVA materials.

Leveraging the company’s expertise in case design and manufacturing, Gator has expanded into nearly all facets on the musical industry. With the creation of Frameworks, Rackworks, an OEM division, and the acquisition of Levy's Leather's, Gator has continually used its growth to support musicians around the world. This year, Gator hopes to grow our commitment to music education, by creating new top-of-class products for Band and Orchestra. From student musicians just starting, to seasoned professionals traveling gig to gig, Gator is here to protect your musical journey.

  • Gator’s GL and GC Series Band and Orchestra Cases Receive

    New Makeover; New Models Added

    Tampa, FL – Gator Cases refreshes its existing GL Lightweight and GC Deluxe Molded ABS Series cases, offering fresh aesthetics and an expansion of new instrument fitments. Included in the new models are options for cornet, baritone saxophone, euphonium, tuba, and viola, as well as an assortment of string sizes.

    The newly named Adagio and Andante (formerly GL and GC) Series cases deliver the same level of Gator’s proven quality but with a more modern approach, including a major update to the interior nest. Each case now features a redesigned inner soft plush fabric that provides a better-contoured fit and gentle touch, keeping delicate brass, woodwind, and string instruments properly guarded during transport.

    “We’re committed to our long-standing tradition of supporting band and orchestra students, which means offering quality cases at an affordable price,” explains Dustin Smith, EDU/B&O business development manager. “Our goal is to continue creating impactful products for beginners to pro-level musicians while supporting those who guide and lead their musical journey along the way.”
