Wiseman Cases London have been making cases for over 36 years, for all Woodwind, Brass & Strings. Our cases are used by players all over the world from students to professionals. Our new "Wooden" award winning cases & our carbon fibre cases have a lifetime guarantee, and are insurance company endorsed.

All cases are made to order. We have a wide range of cases but can also make custom cases to suit your needs. All our cases are handmade and are sent world wide. We have different ranges where we can make cases from leather, carbon fibre and now our new "Wooden" range!

• The Wiseman Life-time Guarantee (Nov 29, 2022)

  Wood/leather cases 

  If any part of the case should break due to faulty manufacture, Wiseman London will pay postage both ways for its return. The case will either be repaired or exchanged and returned to you. This guarantee excludes normal wear-and-tear. If it is easier for a local repair technician to effect the repair, then Wiseman London will reimburse you, as long as they are agreed beforehand with Wiseman London.
  
  Overhauls
  Should your case start to look a little tired after years of service, Wiseman London offers a free overhaul service. All we ask is that you meet the cost of postage or delivery both ways. There is no charge for labour, however replacement straps, shoulder pads etc, are chargeable if required. These items will of course be overhauled if possible. 

  Carbon-fibre cases 

  Wiseman Carbon-fibre cases carry a lifetime guarantee against defects, or any part of the case breaking, unless it has been exposed to overwhelming and unreasonable forces/pressure.

  If nothing has broken, but the case requires some work due to wear and tear from years of use, Wiseman London offer a free overhaul service for our carbon-fibre cases.   Cosmetic work on the case exterior (for scratches, chips etc.), is carried out by our carbon-fibre specialists, at additional cost, dependent on the work required. We will provide a quotation for this on inspection of the case. 

• All About Wiseman Cases (Nov 29, 2022)

  Howard Wiseman’s journey to school consisted of walking two miles and catching a train in the rush hour every morning. This was fine apart from the three days on which he had to carry his bassoon! At this point the journey would become a nightmare. As a young teenager the weight of carrying the bassoon and the painful handle constantly digging into his hands seemed an unfair punishment for playing such a lovely instrument. Furthermore, the large traditional bassoon case was never welcomed by other passengers on a packed, busy train. As a solution to the problem Howard made himself a case! The small tubular case was less than half the volume of any regular case and could be easily slung over the shoulder or worn as a backpack. Problem solved! Shortly after, Howard’s bassoon teacher commissioned Howard to make the same case for him. Being Principal bassoon in the English Chamber orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Robin O’Neill was Howard’s perfect first customer!

  Before long the “Wiseman” tubular bassoon case had spread throughout the professional circuit in London. By the time Howard was 17 cases had been bought by Principal bassoonists in the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Paris Opera and a large number of major European orchestras. It all happened because of the bassoon! The very compact design, stylish appearance and superb protection for the instruments was soon noticed by other instrumentalists. Demand from all other instruments in the woodwind section quickly escalated. As is often the case, someone’s practical solution to a problem, quickly turned into a business. 

  To date Wiseman now make for pretty much all instruments in the Orchestra and beyond. The wealth of experience and expansion has resulted in the creation of our latest NEW Wooden range of cases designed specifically for sale through shops to spread the Wiseman case for musicians of all stages of their career!  

• Wiseman "NEW" & Award winng Wooden Case Range (Nov 29, 2022)

  In June 2022  Wiseman released its brand New and most eco-friendly range of cases in its collection. This range consists of 10 of our most popular cases from the leather/bespoke range. Made from aircraft birch plywood from sustainable forestry. This range of cases are stained in five beautiful colours and then yacht-varished with an added neoprene seal for water tightness. This construction is extremely light, crush resistant and very durable.  

  This range of cases won “Best in Show” at the NAMM show 2022!
