from 228 reviewsI am a baritone ukulele player that uses these to help me on my four string. It is the same as a guitar, you just forget the fifth and sixth strings in your search. Looking forward to a day the day this is made for baritone ukes.
It’s simple and practice learning with this method!! About Noisy Clan , the are professional and they take care of you ! I had a problem with custom of my country, but they sorted in less than one minute , thank you so much again !! People … worth it !!
It took time to come but now all my family of musicians (1 oboe, 1 viola, 1 basson, 1 clarinet and 1 saxophone) have adopted it !
There was a broken part which has been replaced very rapidly (we received an email to inform us it could happen) and it took some tightening of one screw to make it work properly but since those adjustmnets have been made, it's just perfect.
Thanks for the rapid expedition of the replacement part and for this great product !
It did take a long time to receive the grandstand with the Kickstarter campaign. Once it arrived, it is a solid and useful stand. There was a part that was defective but was quickly replaced. I recommend it.
Excellent stand. I've enjoyed using it to practice at home. Looking forward to using it at a gig in a couple weeks.
Look, sometimes you want something functional and rugged. Sometimes you want something that looks nice. It's pretty rare you can get both, at least in the music accessory world. This stand knocks both of these out of the part. It's solid. It looks beautiful. It sits nicely with my gear and actually inspires me to play more. Nice things that do a great job just make everything a little better. It holds my iPad well, both upright and flat, as well as hold any books I'm working through. The clamp on the left is strong but not damaging.
My only regret is I didn't find this sooner and could have avoided the pile of stands I have now that just weren't this one. I highly recommend buying one.
First, I acquired rhe Wee Stand. I am a bass player - upright and UBass. Thus the adjustable height of this product has been just marvellous, with sufficient rigidity to support my iPad safely while playing the music on it. Well done, Noisy Clan.
Encouraged by my first purchase from you, I bought the Cheat Sheets for the Ukulele and these also have proved marvellous. Well done again, Noisy Clan!
I bought the Circle of Fifths Decoder for guitar and I was impressed by the quality for the price and the design itself -- very useful and easy to understand. I also did not expect the accompanying book to be so well-written and clear. I would definitely recommend.
I like them. I like them a lot.
Love the noisy clan products, well worth the $. Very quick shipping to Australia as well. What's not to like, learning is everything.
As soon as I started unpacking the items it was very easy to tell that high quality components were used and the attention to detail was evident by the workmanship. Not only does it do what it’s designed to do - it is also a clean and sophisticated system. Excellent and attractive addition to my music room. Highly recommended and appreciated.
Ok it was a rough start, wrong color sent, missing pieces from out of the book…but the Decoder itself is just a brilliant design.
Would I change anything? A bit smaller wouldn’t hurt and the stand while an inspired concept is not something I would use.
What is perfect? The simplicity of use and the ruggedness of this wheel is much better of a product than the frailty of the paper designs and fiddly wooden ones.
I love this stand! It is the perfect complement to my main Grandstand and allows me to view instructions on my iPad while reading music and playing.
Sweet. A great accessory for viewing my tablet while using the DAW.
I needed a compact and light music stand as I am currently travelling to rehearsals by motorbike. Used this stand for the first time this morning, and it worked out ok. But it’s not perfect, and for the build / materials the price point needs to drop significantly imo. The positives are:
- Very clever design.
- Incredibly lightweight.
- Very compact WHEN CLOSED.
- It was adequate support for a double (fold out) A4 music arrangement.
Not so good imo:
- My fusion gig bag that I use to transport a sax to rehearsal, is too heavy (without the sax in) to be used for the ‘extra stabilisation by hanging a rucksack’ feature. Caused the legs to just splay out.
- Because there is no metal in the construction, my magnetic pencil holder had nowhere to attach to (we all use one of those in rehearsal, right?).
- I am 5’ 8””; seated required five of the six segments to be tensionsed. Pull out the remaining section and I have to angle the music support upwards for it to be usable at standing height
- the footprint when in use is large. Practically, to have the music at a readable distance, you do not sit astride the front leg. In a busy / small rehearsal space the two rear legs would probably be underneath another player’s chair.
I have been meaning to switch over to an iPad for all of my music, and when I do this stand will come into its own. At the moment, it is useful as I say for specific reasons when travelling light, it’s not really designed for every day. It’s over priced at the moment for the materials; perhaps less money could have been spent on the funky noisy clan stickers (which probably impact the environmental credentials of this product, the glue on the stickers is an almost instant bond, be warned). Agree with the comment about fingers. Supervise children, as if you don’t close it in a logical sequence fingers can get caught when pushing the legs back into the storage position.
