Mobile Push Notifications

Every morning and afternoon during the conference, we will set aside 3 sponsored push notifications that will go to all attendees via the mobile app. Deadline to submit push notifications is December 1.

In 2023 over 7,000 people utilized the conference app.  Users spent over 400,000 minutes on the app during the course of our three-day event.  A push notification will automatically appear on the home or lock screen of any app user.  Notifications are limited to 140 characters and can include a clickable link.  This is a great way to announce a special conference promotion or event.  We are limiting sponsored push notifications to three in the morning and three in the afternoon.  Times and dates will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Product Showcase - Demonstration Ensemble

One-hour demonstration clinic session focused on presenting new strategies and resources for educators.

Exhibitors can purchase up to two product showcase demonstration sessions.  These are one-hour clinics where exhibitors can demonstrate new products or services with a demonstration ensemble.  All product showcases are listed in the master schedule and attendees can receive up to one hour of credit by attending.  Unlike clinics, product showcases have no promotional restrictions.  These Product Showcases will be located in W184, which is a performance space and will also have a projector and screen.

High School Leadership Institute

Buehlman Prize for Composition

Young Composer Competition in honor of The Midwest Clinic's first Executive Director, Barbara Buehlman.

The Buehlman Prize for Composition will feature the work of one young composer.  This year, the prize will go to a work created for a middle school (grades 3-4) wind band, to encourage and support young composers in crafting works for younger students by providing a national venue for performance and recognition. In addition to a $2,000 award, the winning composition will be debuted at the 78th Midwest Clinic in December 2024.

Through his commitment to the advancement of conducting he has inspired countless students around the globe to discover their own passion for the art form.
