NEW YORK, January 2023 – Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health, a business unit of IFF's Health & Biosciences division, announced the approval of Syncra® SWI, a combination of VMP and a protease enzyme, for use in Canada. By incorporating Syncra® SWI in swine diets, producers in Canada will have more consistent animal performance throughout the year.
“We are delighted to receive the formal recognition from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) that Syncra® SWI is safe and effective for use in animals. With this regulatory approval as a gut modifier we will be able to provide a solution to meet the unique needs of the Canadian swine segment and expand Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health products footprint in the Canadian market,'' said Regina Cortada, North America Animal Nutrition & Health Leader. Canadian producers can now benefit from the same performance improvements that the US swine sector has enjoyed, particularly the feed conversion aspect.
“We look forward to helping customers in the region develop tailored nutritional feed strategies that not only deliver excellent animal performance, but also a return on investment,” Cortada stated.
Syncra® SWI is a highly effective feed additive with an agile enzyme producing capacity which adapts to different feed ingredients. This action significantly improves energy and amino acid digestibility in grower and finisher pigs. With Syncra® SWI swine producers can be confident that livestock benefit from the full nutritional value of their feed – resulting in strong overall performance and a profitable return.
By balancing nutrition, the gut microbiome, and immune function, they also contribute to a favorable nutribiotic state, enabling animals to focus on growth.
