Montana Hunts

We are based in central Montana in the Big Belt Mountains, 60 miles south of Great Falls. Our hunts are all conducted from our base camp which consists of cabins and a new cook house, electricity, propane heat and WIFI. The camp is located on the private leases we hunt. The elevation in the area runs from 4,500 to 7,000 feet and temperatures can vary from 60 degrees to well zero.

 Here at DL Elk Outfitters, we have been guiding elk hunters for over 32 years on our private leases in central Montana in the Big Belt Mountains.

Elk Hunts – Rifle

DL Elk Outfitters conducts guided rifle elk hunts on over 70,000 Private acres in the Big Belt Mountains in central Montana.

Antelope Hunts

Our antelope hunts are conducted in the month October on our private leases. The antelope herds are healthy and growing.

Candy Dan Camp

We have been operating out of our Candy Dan Camp for over 25 years. Constructed on the private ranch we hunt, located some 65 miles south of Great Falls.

Montana Hunting Licenses

Non-resident B-10 combination elk/deer/fish and bird license applications must be submitted into the Fish and Game no later than March 15.

4-Wheel Drive Hunts on Private Land

The area is abundant with a variety of game animals, Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Mountain Lion and Black Bear. We hunt using only 4-wheel drive vehicles to access the hunting areas, making this a unique hunt that any hunter can do regardless of his or her abilities and physical condition. Our guides are experienced and will try their hardest to make your hunt successful as well as enjoyable and memorable.

Fees for all hunts include 2 hunters per guide, full time cook, home cooked meals, lodging during your hunt, and field preparation of all game animals. Extra expenses are your licenses, lodging before and after your hunt, transportation to and from Montana, harvest fees for additional animals taken, (Deer, Antelope, Cow Elk), mounting or caping of trophies, meat processing, and gratuities. We offer both a professional taxidermist and meat cutter for your convenience.

Pelly Lake Outfitters offers guided, spot and stalk spring black bear hunts in our exclusive 3000 square mile area in north central British Columbia.

BC Wilderness Hunts

Pelly Lake Outfitters Ltd. is located on the northwest side of Williston Lake in northern British Columbia. The country is rich in quality game including large Stone Sheep, many Mountain Goats, excellent Western Canadian Moose, Mountain Caribou, abundant Black Bear, as well as Wolf and Wolverine. The streams and lakes are numbered with Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden. Our base camps consist of very comfortable cabins, cook houses and tent, showers and the equipment to give you the memory of a lifelong dream.

This area covers some 3,000 sq miles of superb hunting, fishing, sight-seeing, horseback riding and boat. The Northern portion of the area is hunted by horseback into spike camps for Dark Stone Sheep, Goat and Moose. The southern portion is great for Goat, Moose, Caribou, and Black Bear roam freely over the territory. Hunting in the different areas for the different species requires the hunter to be in excellent shape to fair.
