Our Products:

Okinawan Sweet Potato

Distinctive violet-purple flesh (anthocyanin) with white earthy skin, Hawaiian Sweet Potato (or U’ala) are richly nutritious, a good source for potassium, fat-free and low in calories with high fiber content. Okinawan sweet potatoes have a slightly sweet taste and creamy texture used in many local dishes.

Hawaiian Ginger

Current scientific literature points to ginger as having cancer-fighting properties. These properties are owed to the phytochemical compounds in ginger, namely gingerols, shogaols and zingerone, that give ginger its spicy and medicinal qualities. Grown annually, Hawaii boasts the only commercial operations for raw, fresh ginger.

Thai Basil

A culinary herb of the mint family Lamiaceae found in Asian cuisine, Ocimum basilicum var. thyrsiflora has distinctive traits. It’s flavor is described as anise/licorice-like and slightly spicy, is more stable under high or extended cooking temperatures than that of sweet basil with small, narrow leaves, purple stems, and pink-purple flowers.

Italian/Sweet Basil

Known as the “king of herbs” this popular perennial, the Geneovese variety, is cultivated in large fields on the island of O’ahu.
