CHURCH BROTHERS FARMS TO DEBUT RETAIL PRODUCTS AT FRESH SUMMIT

1-pound clamshell salad line and Tuscan Baby Romaine join the company’s retail offerings

SALINAS, CA (Oct. 14, 2019) – Church Brothers Farms, a leading fresh produce farming/shipping company and grower-owned processor, True Leaf Farms, will launch new products at the PMA Fresh Summit in Anaheim in booth #3071 as part of the Salinas Valley Grower Shipper Pavilion.

The new products, created for retail customers, include Tuscan Baby Romaine; washed and ready to use bunched cilantro and parsley; and a 1-pound clamshell salad line with seven different items available in conventional and organic versions.  This is the first year the company will be part of the Green Giant Fresh family and will have a presence in that company’s booth #2537.

Jeff Church and Bobby Nunes are riding 300 miles in the Tour De Fresh leading up to Fresh Summit to raise funds for school salad bars.  This is the sixth year the company has participated in the ride and has contributed nearly $48,000 to date.  Jeff Church, vice president of sales, is one of the event’s legacy riders who has participated since the start of the foundation in 2014.

“Tour de Fresh is an opportunity for me to mix my passion for bike riding with raising money for a great cause,” Church said.

In addition, Alejandro Tomas Callejas, director of research and development, is receiving the 40 Under 40 award from Produce Business magazine and Kori Tuggle, vice president of marketing and product development, is working with college students on the Career Pathways Career Path Panel presented by PMA’s Center for Growing talent and hosting Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo students from the agribusiness department.

“This is the time to showcase our products and people,” Church said. “Fresh Summit is our opportunity to highlight our points of difference and illustrate to our customers where we are headed in the year ahead.”
