The Center for Dairy Research (CDR) is a full service dairy research center staffed by 30 researchers, cheesemakers and dairy food experts with deep industry experience. Located on the UW-Madison campus, CDR is supported by dairy farmer check off dollars, and offers expertise in innovation, technical support and education/training for cheese, dairy ingredients, cultured products, butter, beverages, dairy processing, safety/quality and entrepreneurship. Additional resources include cheese and dairy processing pilot plants, analytical support, and sensory evaluation. CDR's vision is to turn its knowledge and expertise into the dairy industry's success, partnering to bring innovative, nutritious and profitable dairy-based products to the global marketplace.
