Intern'l Dairy Foods Assoc. - Making a Difference for Dairy
The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), represents the nation's dairy manufacturing & marketing industries & their suppliers, with a membership of 550 companies within a $125-billion a year industry.
IDFA is composed of 3 constituent organizations:
Milk Industry Foundation (MIF)
National Cheese Institute (NCI)
International Ice Cream Association (IICA)
Members consist of nearly 200 dairy processing members & their 165 divisions, subsidiaries & joint ventures. These companies range from large multi-national organizations to single-plant companies, & run nearly 600 plant operations in the U.S. & countries around the world. The companies represent 85 percent of the milk, cultured products, cheese, ice cream & frozen desserts produced & marketed in the U.S.
In addition, 345 Business Partner member companies provide processing equipment & supplies, packaging equipment & materials, ingredients & a wide variety of products & services to the dairy industry. Nearly 15 state & regional trade associations are also members of IDFA.
