Mama Buci produces award-winning, ethical and socially responsible pure honey made by Wild African bees from the Zambian Miombo forests. We achieved 3 Gold Stars for our Winter Harvest Honey at the 2023 Great Taste Awards.
Our honey is pure, cold filtered and free from additives or preservatives.
Our sustainable treetop hives are hand built by Zambian locals, specially designed to make harvesting easier and kinder to the environment and ensure they produce the purest honey possible.
Through each step of the journey, we ensure that the clarity and flavour of the honey is never compromised.
We currently build over 150 beehives a day, 5 days a week in our local Zambian workshop. We have provided over 110,000 beehives to the local community, which will produce over 900 tonnes of raw honey in one year alone. Each new hive helps the bee population to thrive and therefore has a positive environmental impact.
The success of our enterprise has allowed us to have a positive impact on the education of local young people with many families now able to afford to send their children to school. We set up and support a school in Zambia that now has 360 children attending.
