Lemongrass Farms is a family business that launched in 2023 and quickly gained mass retail adoption and acknowledgement from NIQ's Consumer 360 event in Los Angeles, where we were fortunate enough to win 2nd Place for "Best New Brand of 2023". In late 2023, we also won "Best Label in the World" in the personal care category at the AWA international printing awards in Amsterdam. Considering their forward-thinking and keen ability for identifying CPG packaging trends, receiving this award from an entirely European judge panel was very special to us. Thanks to NIQ data and the accolades we've received, we've never been more confident that consumers are ready and eager for a new sub-category of all-natural insect repellents that are safe, effective, skin-benefiting and enjoyable to use. This launch (Jan 2023) has been an incredible journey so far!
Not-So-Fun Fact: The all-natural insect repellents currently on the shelf at your local retailer are 95%+ Soybean, Corn, or Walnut oil (genetically-modified seed oils!). Although considered "all-natural", these "junk oils" are simply used as a cost-effective carrier for the active ingredients. These "junk oils", which provide zero repellency value, are greasy, sticky, and oxidize quickly (becomes rancid), leaving the user needing a shower!
The only oils in TREK are the world's finest essential oils, thanks to a proprietary manufacturing process. Consumers are quickly realizing just how good bug spray can be! We will be in over 5,000 retail locations in 2024 with the addition of a national Whole Foods program. Our packaging (Bag on Valve Continuous Spray Cans) are the cleaner alternative to aerosol - where the product is dispensed using clean air, rather than harmful hydrocarbon propellants. Thus, our packaging is carbon neutral and 100% sustainable / recyclable.
