  ANAHEIM--March 7, 2024 : ‘PLANT Collagen’, a vegan collagen brand from South Korea, will make its U.S. debut at the Natural Product Expo West, which takes place from March 14-16, 2024, in Anaheim. These products, Grand Prix winner for raw materials at the 2022 SIAL Paris Innovation Awards can be tasted at Booth 2107.
  
  Due to the growing vegan market, many manufacturers have developed plant-based collagen. But there has been controversy that collagen can’t be vegan as existing plant-based collagen have not met the all of the following conditions.
   1. Containing amino acids
   2. The supply of precursors
   3. Indicator of collagen
   4. Tripeptide Structure with Three Amino Acids Bound
  VC-H1, the world's first plant-based collagen developed by Rawga, is the first collagen to meet the above conditions.
  It is produced by hydrolyzing the glycoprotein constituting the plant's outer wall with enzymes and then purifying it with high-purity water-soluble glycoproteins.
  VC-H1 is an amino acid compound of plant proteins similar to animal collagen and is the same as the mechanism of existing animal collagen that supplies collagen to the human body because it supplies proteoglucan, a precursor to collagen.
  It contains 'hydroxyproline', an indicator of collagen, and has a tripeptide structure that combines three amino acids,
  For these reasons, VC-H1 is the only healthy alternative from the collagen produced in existing animals or fish.

  RAWGA 's plant-based collagen has attracted attention for three main reasons

  • Higher absorption due to its lower molecular weight compared to animal collagen
  • It is derived from organic plants, making it safer than animal collagen and easier to consume with no off-odour
