tauMEDIS designs, manufactures, and distributes imaging based technologies to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

tauMEDIS was founded in 2023 but started developing imaging based solutions in 2018, culminating with the 510k approval of the first ground based moving MRI for use in neurosurgical applications. The company has filed for clearance in the development of a dedicated brain PET imaging device - expecting approval mid 2024.

The company is led by a group of Canadian scientists and engineers who are passionate about medical imaging, the name τauMEDIS is an acronym for tau Medical Imaging Solutions, where the Greek letter tau (τ) has significance in both magnetic resonance imaging as well as a variety of neurodegenerative diseases. With over 100 years of collective experience in the medical imaging field, the τauMEDIS team strives to provide the highest quality medical imaging solutions to hospitals, clinics, and research facilities, globally.
